14,000 feet

The team is doing great and is settled is making a cache up at 16,500 feet today.  This is when they really get into the fun climbing, they will clip onto a fixed rope to ascend a steep icy pitch that will get them to the ridge line of the West Buttress.  The ridge continues up another 1,000 ft to the high camp at over 17,000 ft.

After making this cache they will be ready for the final move up to high camp, and the push to the summit.

Way to go! Sounds like this is when things get challenging - keep breathing and take one step at a time. I can see you guys celebrating at the summit!

Name a couple peaks while you're up there. Good luck on the push to the top.
